Excellent Coin and Paper Money Auction, Saturday Morning, January 22nd @ 9:30 A.M.

Two excellent estate and collections of coins and paper money both gathered over the last 50-60 years.  The first collection contains over 300 lots of Obsolete Bank Notes with the majority representing area and state of Michigan banks all printed pre-1850's and going back to the late 1700's with Continental Congress pieces, as well as fractional currency, and more.  Included in this is a fantastic offering of rare and hard-to-find examples and a large grouping of Uncut sheets of notes, U.S. issue paper money.  The Estate collection includes a wonderful representation of type coins with 1/2 cents, large cents, 2 & 3 cents, twenty cent, as well as quarters, halves,  dollars and $1-1/2 and $20 gold pieces.  The type coins go back to the late 1700's with a good group of early 1800 issues.  A great deal is high grade early examples, and are still in the envelopes showing that they were purchased by the collection in the 1960's.
